I have hair prone to frizz that's been chemically treated and over-ironed for years. I iron my hair 2 times or more a week, and when I attempt to wear it curly it's always unruly. After trying It's a Ten, Mixed Chicks, and countless other conditioners, I've finally found what works: Shielo Hydration Condtioner. I've also tried Shielo Hydration Shampoo, which honestly was not as effective. Just the conditoner works VERY well. When I straighten my hair after using this product it feels silky and healthy; when I wear it curly the frizz is minimal. I'm also half African-American, and even though Shielo doesn't usually market their products for black hair, I encourage women of color to try it!

I would like to try your products. Does it work if you have relaxed hair. I am trying to find something that will start mine growing again. In the past 2 or 3 years I've lost about 3 inches and it also seems to be thinning. Will your product help me?

Hello. I noticed that your last comment was from over a year ago, but I hope you respond to this. I don't know what ethnicity I am but I know my hair is half black and half of something else.... Lol... Uh... Ever since I was a kid my mom always did my hair, and she did an amazing job with it, but she died in 2007 and ever since then, I have extremely neglected my hair. From flat ironing it excessively, to just leaving it without being moisturized and dry, to washing it everyday *stupidly thinking that my hair is designed for everyday shampooing. Now, I have tons of breakage and my hair just slides right out of my head and my ends are SHOT!!!! And I don't have as much volume as I used to have. And the size (talking about the diameter *like how many times I wrap the scrunchie around my hair) of my ponytail has gotten so much smaller. It is really dry, and yes... (not being racy) Black Products are too oily and white products are white products... Lol. So what I would like to know is... Can Mixed Chick repair and reverse the damage I have caused to my hair? And will Mixed Chicks help me to gain and retain length in my hair. And will it stop the breakage? Sorry I have a lot of questions... The last one is... I have enlisted in the Navy and I leave in late August. And there I will have to cut my hair, and I'm quite positive that I won't be able to bring any kind of beauty products with me. So I want to know after I am forced to cut my hair and I'm able to let it grow again, Mixed Chicks will help to get it back to it's original length or maybe longer... And what will I do to nourish my hair if I can't bring hair care products? Thank you for all of your help. Me and my brother are going to go to the mall today and I will stop by the Target right next to it to grab your product. I know it will work for me! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!! Mix Chicks RULE! P.S. I will send a picture of what my hair used to look like.

I just ordered your products. I have always had, as an irish - scottish girl thick course, frizzy hair. As a child I even went to the famous Red Door and the girl just stood their and finally told her boss she did not know what to do with my hair. They would razor cut it and put me under heat lamps.UGH! Now I do everything to straighten it from ironing (as a child ) to the CHI system which is very pricey. I wind up with straight hair on top and very frizzy and bumpy hair underneath. Then it starts to grow in and what a mess. I try not to wash to often as it is so dry. I live in Florida and it is such a bad hair state for my situation. I walk out the door and total frizz. I used to go home at lunch and wet it and put alot of gel in it just to tame it down. I will let you know how I do. Bought the sample pack and the sulfate shampoo because I am not sure which shampoo to use. Many said the clarifying dried their hair. I try to washy once a week but going to the beach and the heat in the summer requires more.

My daughter (10 years old) has extremely dry hair. It seems no matter what i do the back and her edges are so dry that it almost brings me to tears. She gets her hair blown out every 3 weeks or so and some times braids in betweeen.

I use mixed chicks on my hair and have recently starting using the conditioner/shampoo on hers, but just twice so far.

Any suggestions?

Got introduced to your name by an almost mix chick with soft curly hair. I am not mixed and have African American, West Indian roots, thick, coarse, natural wave yet not unruly virgin hair with an inch of relaxed hair on ends. About 6 inches long all over. Not quite shoulder length. I have been doing the two stran twist and like the 'no fuss' results. Itakethe twists our andwear free just before shampooing weekly. Love it, but not as 'professional' and not as moist as I would like at times. Will 'MixedChicks' work on virgin hair and what products work best in humid hot damp Florida? I would like to go without the twists at times and should I cut off the relaxer for best results? thanks.
