We can’t believe the first week of May is already over! Stay tuned as we will be announcing the first winner of our Mixed Chicks History Month Giveaway shortly! If you haven’t entered yet, now is the time to do it. Every week, we will pick a new winner and that person could be you!

In honor of May being Mixed Chicks History Month, we want to know about the Mixed Chick that has inspired you! Whether it’d be a family member, teacher, TV personality, or a celebrity, post your story and a picture of a mixed race person you admire. You can post your pics and stories on Facebook and via social media outlets including Twitter and Instagram. One winner will be chosen weekly and will receive a gift sent personally from the creators of Mixed Chicks, Wendi and Kim.



Today’s mixed chick of distinction is for all of our Creole Mixed Chicks!! Beyonce Knowles is one of the world’s biggest superstars! She hails from Houston, Texas. She is half Creole on her mother’s side and half African American pn her father’s side. Creoles are a mixture of African American, French, Spanish and Native American. She has countless number one hits under her belt and more on the way. She has won several Grammy’s, Billboard Music Awards and American Music Awards. She has toured the world several times over and has embarked on her most recent world tour aptly titled Mrs. Carter. She is also an accomplished actress, fashion designer and a philanthropist. She recently became the new mother to a beautiful little girl named Blue Ivy with husband Jay Z. She is always on the cutting edge of pop culture and lives to keep people guessing as to what her next move will be. Her future is bright and we love to watch her shine!
