Today’s mixed chick of distinction is indigenous supermodel Samantha Harris. Born and raised in South Wales, her mother is of German and English descent while her father is of Aboriginal descent. Samantha is the first supermodel of Aboriginal descent in the industry and is quickly becoming a shining example of the need for more diverse reflections of beauty around the world. We love that she is bringing awareness to the Aboriginal community. The Aborigines are the indigenous peoples of Australia. Throughout much of Australia’s history, the Aboriginal community has been hugely under-represented in the media and throughout much of Australian culture. We are so happy to call Samantha Harris our Mixed Chick of the Day.
