Mixed Chicks History Month – Naomi Campbell

by Linda Ripoll in News on 2nd May 2014

Our first Mixed Chicks History Month person of distinction is world renown supermodel Naomi Campbell. Known for her stunning long legs, amazing skin and a legendary catwalk strut, Campbell has been ruling the modeling world for over three decades and is still going strong.

Born and raised in London, Campbell is a mixture of Afro-Jamaican and Chinese Jamaican. She was discovered at the tender age of 15 by a modeling scout who quickly got her signed to an agency and took her from local English model to worldwide phenom in a few short years!

Campbell is one of only six models to be declared a Supermodel as she has been featured on thousands of magazine covers around the world and has walked the catwalk for all of the top designers.

Naomi’s Chinese Jamaican ancestry is truly a beautiful example of the ever growing mixed race diaspora.
