Mixed Chicks – Black History Month – Tracy Reese

by Linda Ripoll in News on 6th February 2014

Tracy Reese is one of the fashion industry’s most celebrated and sought after designers. Reese has become known for her feminine yet whimsical approach to women’s clothing. She brings a keen sense of style, color and cut to everything she designs.

Born and raised in Detroit, Reese got her start in the world of fashion in 1982 when she enrolled at Parsons School of Design in New York. As soon as she graduated, she began working her way up the ranks through different fashion houses. She was the head designer for Perry Ellis’ Women’s Portfolio before she launched her own line in 1998.

Over the years, Reese has developed a cult-like following with the who’s who of Hollywood and the fashion world. Along with her ready to wear and resort collections, the multi-talented designer has also launched two mass market lines including a special collaboration with Target that flew off the shelves when it hit stores nationwide. The sky is the limit for this talented and massively successful designer and we applaud her every step of the way!
