Ivette Pina

What has your experience been with the Mixed Chicks products? Is has been a great rewarding experience, a product that combats frizziness, adds shine, health, helps with curl pattern and smells absolutely delicious for a very affordable price.

What makes them different than other hair/beauty products you tried in the past?  It is specifically design to address the diversity of my hair, one little bit goes along way.  Having a diverse background makes it very challenging to find a product that’s going to address all the different needs a multicultural mix woman’s hair like myself has.

Do you have a Go-To or token Mixed Chick Product you cannot go without? The leave in conditioner is my absolute favorite never lets me down.

How has having a product specifically for your biracial/ethnic/multiracial background impacted your beauty regime? It makes it easy, effective and more enjoyable to style my hair. It saves me a lot of time and it also gives me the security that is going to address all the different needs my hair has being so different and unique.

How do your curls/hair texture represent your cultural/ethnic background?   Curly hair is one of the many representations of my cultural background. The texture and patter is more of a reminder of my diversity, each curl is so different but yet so beautiful in its own way. That’s the way I choose to see cultural diversity, we are all very different and unique yet very similar. Once we are put together in a bunch the beauty is even more breath taken and complex.

What is one feature of the Mixed Chicks brand that empowers your hair/beauty care? It is a product created by mixed chicks, its unique formula aims to enhance and care for my multicultural hair.

If you could define Your Hair Story in one word what would it be? Exuberant

Why is the hair revolution celebrating natural/healthy hair types vital for our generation? It is crucial for young girls to learn to love accept and embrace their own beauty and uniqueness.  We can be our hardest and worse enemies at times, however loving oneself is a long lasting journey and there’s not need for it to be a struggle or a tedious process. We must help one another as women to eradicate the false concept of beauty society has created and maintained for so long.  Beauty comes in many different shapes, patters, shades and textures and there is not fixed definition on what real beauty is…or at least there shouldn’t be.

If your ‘Mixed Chick’ story were a song, what would it be?

Could You Be Loved” by Bob Marley

Do you have any go-to beauty/hair bloggers or vloggers who inspire or help your hairstyles? No necessarily, I do follow a lot of curly women on instagram, however I have always stick to my own regimen and hairstyles. Because I guess, I’m a creature of habit and so far they have worked very well for me.
